Morning Prayer: Morning Prayer: Father God, Thank You for Your watchful eye and hand of protection while we slept last night. Thank You for waking me this morning so I can worship and praise You on this glorious Lords Day. As I sit quietly in Your presence, I am burdened to pray for our nation of the United States and the surrounding nations. I praise You and thank You for the land I live in and for our government and all the freedoms we enjoy in the United States. This morning, I lift up and intercede on behalf of our President, the representatives, the senators, the judges of our land, our governors and mayors, the policemen and policewomen, who help to keep us safe, and for all those in authority over us. I pray that the Spirit of the Lord rests upon them and guides them in wisdom and truth. We give thanks unto You that the good news of the Gospel is published in our land. The Word of the Lord prevails and grows mightily in the hearts and lives of the people. Your Word declares that blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord (Psalm 33:12). We receive Your blessing Father, for You are our Refuge and Stronghold in times of trouble. We ask that Your people dwell safely in this land, and that we will prosper abundantly.
