Morning Rant Yesterday Chris & I went to Southend on Sea expecting it to be like another Margate Clone No it was nice clean, the seafront & town obviously looked after & cared for my council & residents a proper British Holiday Resort not posh or pretentious but did what it said on the can. Last year we went to Weymouth similar vain to above. And I come home to Margate in my opinion one of the best Beaches in the county But with boarded up crappy arcades, boarded up Fun Park, no high street worth visiting Where did Margate go wrong? Was it Incompetence of our council to apply business accruement to what tourists want? Or is it a general apathy incompetence within the local business community to create a Great Holiday destination.
