Morning Son kindergartners investigated a wetland in winter this morning. They were overjoyed to discover ICE beneath the snow as well as bubbles and cracks! They also followed fresh coyote tracks and helped drill two holes in the ice by mimicking the drilling action. They discovered that dirt and water is mud, pond mud is muck, they could not break the ice no matter how hard they jumped on it, and a classroom can have a ceiling of clouds, cattails for walls, and ice for the floor. They said the pond is a special place because God made it, its fun, and its a good place. Thank you kindergarten friends for the adventure! (Photos: Molly Stoddard/PWLC)
