***Morning all...our next post will be at 5pm tonight*** 1. I ebf my 6 month old dd and often feed her to sleep. I am going away without her in April when she will be 9.5 months old for the night and leaving her with her dad ( my partner ) she takes a bottle which I offer about once a week but have never tried giving her one before bed or when she wakes during the night . I am worried she wont settle well with her dad as she is not used to him during the night . Are there any tips anyone can offer on what I can do before April comes to make this night easier ? I feel a bit sick worrying she will cry. 2. My son is nearly 3 months old. In the last week or so every time during the day and evening (not midnight and 4am feeds) when I try to put him to sleep he starts to cry and get really upset. Ive tried swaddling him with and without his arms down (usually down), putting him to bed earlier and later, in case I was misinterpreted his cues. Ive tried rocking to sleep, using his dummy and leaving him in his bed. All of these things have worked in the past and he has always been happy to nap and went to sleep really quickly. Im not prepared to let him cry it out. Any suggestions on how I can avoid the battle and he rests easier? 3. Im having a lot of trouble getting my 4 week old baby boy to sleep in his bassinet. He will only go to sleep & stay asleep in his swing (A Fisher Price my little lamb). Ive read that its not good for babies to sleep in swings but every time I put him in his bassinet he wakes within 5 minutes crying. He also has mild reflux so I think he likes sitting up. Any suggestions on how to get him back into his bassinet? 4. Im 30 weeks pregnant with my second baby, my son is 18 months and iv never spent a night away from him so very nervous about leaving him while Im in hospital does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this fear before I have the baby? 5. My son is almost 5 months old, what kinds of things did you do together as a family on weekends to avoid boredom! 6. My almost 8 month old never stops moving - even in her sleep! She keeps waking herself up by hitting the rails of her cot. She sleeps in a sleeping bag, I have air wrap bumpers to soften the bump of her head. Ive attempted to let her cry after waking herself (for short periods as I hate her crying it out) but this just means she wakes up completely and trying to get her back to sleep is challenging. She doesnt show any signs of reflux (or silent reflux) and she doesnt seem to have wind. Im at a loss of what to do, I keep being told she will grow out of it but this has been happening since she was 5 months (when she started crawling). Do any parents out there have any insight on how to encourage her to stay still in her sleep? Thanks. 7. After having pre-eclampsia in your first pregnancy, did you have it in your 2nd/3rd/4th etc
