Morning my warm hearted family. Waking up to a cool 27 degrees all cuddly warm and safe so I say Thank You Wonderous Lord. Is pretty cold outside but without any rain makes it not so bad. With the cold outside decided to tell yall about my one and only time I went skiing. Back in 1988 my best friend John who knew he would not see another Christmas gifted us a trip to go see our friend Chacho and go skiing in Breckinridge, Colorado. Well I tell you folks Ive never seen a prettier sight once we arrived at the ski resort. I drank hot chocolate and ate the most incredible French pastry as I looked out the window and watched people ski like something right out of the movies. Having lived on flat ground most of my life, yall should have seen this Texas guy try to maneuver skis, well sort of. I was the only 511 student in the class on how to ski as everyone else was way shorter than me and all little kids. Putting pride aside as I was so stoked just being there, it took me some time but yes folks I conquered the bunny hill. There really is something magical about being out there on the slopes and looking at pure white fresh snow as it made its way down from heaven above. Looking back on this beloved memory it warms my heart as I got to try something I thought I never would, and created memories of my dear best friend who had such an impact on my life. Just goes to show us that hot, cold, dry or wet, great memories and stories are out there for us just waiting to be made. My fine family if you must venture out today, be safe, be warm but above all be blessed. Have a warm and comfy day which will be attained when you choose to make it your day.
