Moscow Parikrama After the Moscow Bhakti Festival I had some - TopicsExpress

Moscow Parikrama After the Moscow Bhakti Festival I had some extra time. Under the guidance of Lalita priya and later with Krsangi and Sarasvati we went for Moscow Parikrama. In Moscow there are many churches - some of them we visited. There we gave our pranams to the many saints, prayed for their blessings and offered one candle. How nice, in the Russian orthodox tradition, they kiss the picture of the saint. Lalita priya told about the many hard austerities of one of the saints. I was very impressed to see so many faithful people on a monday morning going to the church. Reaching the red square we touched the stones of the ground knowing that our acharyas A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and Srila Narayana Goswami Maharaja also had once steped on these stones. Lunch prasadam we honored at ISCKON temple. Devotees live there very simple. Actually the day before we also passed there. There was just a beautiful sweet kirtan going on, all devotees were dancing and singing the holy name. In the afternoon we went to one place of pilgrimage of the saintly women Manyata (I am not sure if spelling is correct). Just when we entered the bells started ringing. Outside of the church people were standing in a long queue in front of the picture of the saint to take her blessings. On the side they would fill their bottles with holy water. Bowing down to that faith, we also sprinkeld our heads and drank from this water. Entering the church the priest had just started with the ceremony and was reciting prayers. From the above balcony a beautiful heavenly chorus echoed to the prayers. We also stood in the line to be purified by the holy smoke with whom the priest was going through the church. Where there is honest and sincere faith in search of God true love will always embrace it. Moscow Parikrama ki jaya! Moscow Bhakti Festival 2013 ki jaya! Srila Gurudeva ki jaya!
