Most amazing thing about sabbatical? I have WEEKENDS! As in, like, wow, um, not working on them. For two whole days, not thinking about work. I am not sure if I have ever experienced this before. Instead, I do household errands. I do dishes. I sing and dance. I hang out with my mate. We make dumb jokes. I cook with multiple ingredients! (Tonight? Salmon poached in home-made broth with ginger on polenta with a thin layer of home-made ricotta, topped with a ginger-tomato coulis...and roasted Brussels sprouts...but I digress.) Anyway, it occurs to me that many people are kind of used to this...which seems like a good idea.
