Most everybody knows what they need to be doing: Step 1: Eat - TopicsExpress

Most everybody knows what they need to be doing: Step 1: Eat colorful vegetables, some meat, a little fruit. Step 2: Lift heavy, sprint occasionally, and go for a daily brisk walk. So why is a coach even necessary? What can a coach teach you that you dont already know? The answer is simple and obvious. Most people suck at implementation. They know what they need to do, but they dont know HOW to do it. The reason is simply because most people dont have enough skin in the game. They have nothing to lose, so losing is the easy and familiar thing to do. There is no consequence to their failure, so there is no real fire, proverbially speaking, under their asses. A coach helps you to implement, teaching you not only what to do, but HOW to do it. When you hire a coach you put skin in the game. Now you have something to lose, and this gives you impetus. This may be money. This may be your word or your honor as an individual. Hopefully its all of these things--the more you lay on the line the more likely you are to follow through and get the job done. Hiring a coach is something I think everybody needs to do if they are serious about reaching their goals before their 80th birthday. So dont not hire a coach because a coach is expensive. Be willing to put some skin in the game, be willing to invest in your success, and think of all the time and money you have likely wasted already by not working with a competent coach. Because a coach, if you can find a good one, can give you all the shortcuts. But if you really want to win, then you have to have something to lose. - = + - Pat PS - Im looking to take on three new private online coaching clients this month. Specifically, here is who Id love to work with: 1. Any female who wants to get their first pull up (or move beyond five pull ups), gain hidden strength (thats strength without bulk, like my client Michelle Henry demonstrates here, having just reached her goal of doing a TGU with a 16kg at 109lbs ==> bit.ly/VaxZao), and use heavy lifting for fat loss. 2. Any male who wants to do the same (I dont train bodybuilders, so please dont come to me looking to bulk up. I train people who are serious about cultivating strong, healthy, and balanced movement). There are only two requirements to become a client: 1) A willingness to put skin in the game, and 2) a willingness to follow directions. Private coaching is a serious 3-month commitment, and requires a lot of back and forth between the two of us. Its hard work, but I hear its worth it. If you think youd make a good fit, please send an email to PatFlynn@ChroniclesOfStrength with the subject line of Online Coaching for more details. Please reach out only if serious.
