Most governments, including our own Zim Govt., inherited a flawed oppressive system of government based on secrecy, violence and control and domination of others by a select few. We are perpetuating the same systems, traditions and rituals carried out by the Rhodesian govt., with a few modifications. We have the same oppressive and divisive political, judiciary, military and law enforcement systems. So the same oppressive systems are now being used by our so-called liberators to dominate the People, while the few in government and their loved ones benefit. Unless we formulate a new form of government that, above all, respects the individual sovereignty of every citizen, real progress will remain a dream. A legitimate government is a system that represents and speaks for its People, and derives its authority from the People. Since no-one can delegate authority that they themselves do not have, governments have no authority, morally or legally, that supersedes that of the People they represent. Those in government are men and women like any of us, when you get past their ego-inflating titles. All men are by divine right Sovereign Beings that are equal and should be treated with Love and Respect. Our system of government and the laws on the books should reflect this fundamental truth. With respect for individual Sovereignty comes freedom for all to express their uniqueness, and this leads to an explosion of creativity. Creativity leads to advancement (technologically and otherwise), which leads to Progress that benefits ALL. If our governments are truly for the people, then they are duty bound to put systems in place to ensure individual sovereignty is respected, ALL life is treated with Love and respect, and every voice is honored. We honor every voice by providing a mechanism that allows unhindered communication and interaction between the People and the government and an infallible follow-up system, to ensure all concerns, recommendations, questions etc. are addressed sufficiently. The best means for anyone to connect and communicate with a vast group of people these days is through Digital Social Media, like FB. Governments that are truly for Progress and for the People are taking advantage of this modern tool, and those who are reluctant to change with the times out of fear are going to become extinct/irrelevant. This is how Nature/Life works.
