Most men fall because they reject accountability from other men and turn from the sustaining message of truth. Instead of fighting on the battlefield, theyre lusting after what belongs to someone else. Instead of fully committing to a life of sacrifice and discipline, theyre actively engaged in lawlessness. They reject being sharpened and they grow comfortable with being dull. Every man has the potential to fall, and his fall will be major. It doesnt just impact him; it spreads into his community and his family. He must have a place where he can be honest, open and revealing. Its a safe place where he has no secrets and all his sin is shamed by being brought into the light. His brothers cover him, rebuke him, encourage him and challenge him to be the man God desires of him. Im thankful for my brothers. God knows I couldnt take this journey without them.
