Most of my friends know I dabble a bit in the kitchen. Im needing to raise about $300 for the cost of incorporating my charitable foundation Going Places. I already have donors on board who will begin funding once we have non-profit status, but I need that $300 (some very generous friends have already kicked in $200) to get us to that point. Also, I may need to shell out a bit for a meeting space to get my board together to go over the papers, clarify our vision, write the bylaws, etc., so another $100 for incidentals would probably be prudent. Anyway, back to the kitchen. What do you think of a raffle? I could sell tickets (help me set a price, please?) and the winner would get a custom Kala cake or cupcakes (Im thinking 24). Do you think this would work? Would you buy these? Would any of you be willing to sell them? I could also just make and sell a bunch of cake pops wherever I go (except for school- theyre persnickety about homemade foods). I leave it to my public. What do you think???
