Most of the time, people tend to say Julius Malema is a disrespectful politician, while others(including myself) not seeing Julius Malema as a disrespectful one.I am gonna quote Julius Malema s speech that he delivered in the parliament as a response to the state of the nation, just a day before Julius Malema was asked to exit the parliament after refusing to withdraw the words about massacre of Marikana people. After reading the quotes of Malemas speech, please pin out words or sentences that were disrespectful in his speech. His speech was as follow: Thank you very much, madam chair and the president of the republic of south africa as well as the honourable members of the parliament.thank you for affording us the opportunity to respond to the state of the nation delivered by our president.I want to acknowledge and greet million south african workers, the poors, particularly one million plus south africans who voted for EFF to come to this parliament and represent their agenda of economic freedom in our life time.without any fear, our people mandated this movement of EFF to come and speak on behalf of homeless, landless, domestic workers, security guards, farm workers, cleaners, waiters and waitresses, recipients of social grants, construction workers and unemployed masses of our people ,who are forgotten by the ruling iliat which is there to opress such with an imperialic force.[ Parliamentarians clapped the hands] Julius Malema continued I thought it was going to be difficult for me to carry this mandate with the serious commitment against the party which taught me everything I know today about politics, but this was made easy by seeing martinus van schalkwyk on the banges of the ruling party.I then quickly remembered, that by the way we are not opposing ANC we joined then, the ANC of Lawrence Phokanoke, but we are opposing the ANC of Martinius Van Schalkwyk and Cyril Ramaphosa. [Members of the parliament clapped the hands once more and Cyril Ramaphosa rubbed his fore-head] Malema in continuation Mr president, when you spoke yesterday, you reaffirmed that indeed we have chosen the correct path because you are no longer respresenting the hope of the hopeless masses of our people.your speech yesterday was uninspiring and lack central theme, mister president.None will remember what you said last night ,except that we should clean on Mandela day, which was the only emphasis you made and maybe because you thought it was the simplest subject you had to deal with in the whole speech last night.what was suppose to be the simplest subject to you,has proven to be more complex that you note, mister president, because your cleaning instruction goes against the wishes of president Mandela, who said it must be left to individual strength on how they wish to remember him or celebrate his life.I am sorry mister president,I wont be cleaning on Mandela day.I will be involve in more productive activities, which will leave long lasting legacy and remembrace of our world icon [member of parliament screamed and gave round of applause for that fact] . Malema was interrupted by other member of parliament as follows honourable chairperson, point of order please!the speaker called the deputy president of the republic,Cyril Ramaphosa and I think he is honourable as the member of this house.can you rule on that? The chairperson of the parliament,Thandi Modise said honourable Malema honourable Malema, the honourable deputy president of the republic is the honourable of this house! Julius Malema replied no problem honourable Cyril Ramaphosa[then members of parliament laughed] Malema continued with his speechmister president you tried to speak about radical socio-economic changes in your speech last night, but nothing you said was radical.instead we had a repeatation of what has been said before.I know very well that you attempt to make radical economic changes and your central theme was a direct respond to the existance of EFF,but you successfully failed in the same way you failed when you introduce the red beret to counter that of EFF during election campaigns.the back has made you to accept even wrong things as the laws that runs the parliament for the past 20 years.for an example ,the 1975 act that makes it compulsary for members of parliament to join a certain medical aid scheme.you been part of this illegal law and unconstitutional law for the past 20 years.it only took the EFF less than 100 days to reject this law and indeed parliament lawyers have agreed with us that indeed this law was unconstitutional,a law you complied with[people clapped the hands]. The time for black majority to benefit from natural minerals and the beauty of the country is now and it can never be postponed.[Members of parliament clapped the hands] This is where we start, now we should deal with politics. You promised jobs before and you have repeatedly failed to create jobs.in your first address to this house as the president, you promised to create 500 000 jobs in 6 months.yet you failed and no one held you accountable.our people are being called upon to celebrate 20 years of freedom and we really do not know what they should celebrate because the past 20 years were years of suffering to the poors of the poorest Other member of parliament interupted Julius Malema by saying Madam speaker, may I ask why is he delivering his speech english language not in his mother tongue language The chairperson(speaker of parliament) said honourable Malema, are you prepared to respond to the question Julius Malema said I have no time for racist questions Malema continued with this speech it has been 20 years jobless and unemployment of the najority of our people, particularly youth.Mister President ,whatever you said about jobs was false and opponent of your party for the past 20 years.in 1995 ,unemployment was 15% and now at this moment 70% of youth are not employed.you have more that doubled the unemployment and this is your legacy, mister president.More than half of working people earn R3 300 or less and all workers are now employed under labour brokers. -You said you would have halved unemployment in 2014, -you also promised to distribute 30% of the land in this very same year. -you promised to half poverty by 2014 . -you promised to provide security to 400 000 household who live in an informal settlement. You keep making promises and misleading this house and honourable members of this house clap the hands [People in the parliament laughed, laughing to the truth Malema said] Julius Malema continued with his speech you are a man of tradition ,mister president.a tradition of empty promises.now you know that you will not be there in 2030,please say nothing about 2030 because you will not be there. The president sais the minimum wage shall be investigated, there is no need to investigate.this house must show leadership and courage.the workers have already shown the way.for five months now ,workers at platinum mines being on strike.they are looking for R12 500,which ANC government massacred 34 of them two years ago for it.in honour of those who died, this house must legislate R12 500 .this will show the regret on Marikana massacre Other memeber of parliament interupted chairperson, point of order please.the speaker here said the ANC government massacred two years ago.is that parliamentary? Is there any prove? Can you rule on that, chairperson? The chairperson of the parliament,Thandy Modise tried to repremand Malema and asking him to withdraw his words Malema refused and said I maintain that,ANC government massacred people at marikana.those police where representing the ANC government The chairperson of the parliament again said honorable Malema, please debate the state of the nation.prefection battles and whatever should be out Malema replied No no no,chair.I dont agree with that.you are not going to tell me how I must debate, chair. Other member of parliament said point of order, chair! The chairperson is out of order. Honourable Vusi Maimane referred to the functional battle in the ANC,for which the chair person did not call him to order.chairperson ,you must be consistent in the application of the rules of the parliament Malema went ahead with his speech saying Mister president ,you clearly do not know what a radical economic transformation is.what is radical about buying a stolen land?you must be prepared to nationalize mines, banks and other strategic sectors of economy.Mister president, you must provide free quality education up until tertiary level.mister president, you can not celebrate the glorified two high schools which are wrongly called universities in Northern Cape and Mpumalanga, because two of them are going to take only 350 people Mister president, you were on a speed of paraffin building stadiums for 2010 soccer world cup,you are failing to build schools and basic things Thandy Modise interupted honourable Malema,I am afraid your time is up Malema replied ah chair, but those instructions were eating my time My CIC Juliu Malema concluded by saying one of sepedi proverb as Mister president,le ge o ka e tima meetse,o tla bona e nwele
