Most of the time, the Beatles sound best (to me) when played from an original 60s UK tube-cut analog vinyl copy of an LP. About 25 years ago, I mentioned that to a record collecting friend. He responded - Have you ever heard a 70s German Apple Horzu version of Magical Mystery Tour? I admitted that I hadnt, although had an original UK pressing (originally released on 2 7 EP format) as well as a US LP stereo copy. & had decided that I preferred the UK EP to the US LP. He told me he would bring over his 70s German Apple Horzu and we could compare it on my system to my UK EP. About a week later he brought over his copy of the German LP to my house. After he put it on my turntable, my jaw dropped when I started hearing some details I had never heard before and the expanded dynamics of the German pressing vs the UK. Also the bass was much deeper and was rattling my rib-cage like I had never experienced before while listening to this album. Needless to say I tracked down a copy over the next few weeks (which I still own). If you have never heard the 70s German Horzu pressing of Magical Mystery Tour and you are interested in vinyl, you owe it to yourself to listen to one. Here is a YouTube video that gives some insight to the sound improvements and what the cover looks like, although the MP3 as its stored on YouTube doesnt really do justice to the dynamic extended range and bass of the vinyl. https://youtube/watch?v=3DH1ztnAfyI&index=10&list=PL152391C9A529F19A
