Most of us live in places where we take fresh water for granted. At Cec y Tem Atécuaro (That is the name of the high school I am teaching at.), we get water from the local creek (downsteam from where the locals dump their sewage.) They tap into the creek with a four inch pipe which supplies the school and some local farmers. There is no filter, so of course, the pipe occasionally gets plugged up. Since there is no municipal water district, the principal of the school hunts down the local who knows where the water runs. A few local farmers then get together and track down the pipe. Then with the help of a smaller pipe to free the clog, and a few ropes to tie the whole thing back together, your school has water again.
