Most of you know my mom, the famous Mim Newlin. Unfortunately yesterday afternoon she suffered a significant stroke which has affected two lobes of her brain. She is very impaired at this time and unresponsive. The staff at Mather have been amazing. The care she is getting could not be better anywhere and believe me its not just because she is my mom, its because they are all so wonderful, caring, and extremely dedicated to the wellness of their patients. She is laying her all fixed up like a queen, complete with some lipstick. If there is any chance of her regaining any of her former self, it will because of them. Mom certainly is a cat of nine lives so I have to believe that anything is possible. I am afraid that it is going to be a long journey but I suppose if anyone can, its her. I will try to keep you updated with her progress. The thing that will disappoint her the most is that she cant go to Peter Pan, so please go for her.
