Most of you know that my wife Alicia passed away on July 31. I would like to thank all of you that visited, called, sent cards, flowers, best wishes and most of all those who prayed with our family. We were devastated when she was diagnosed with glioblastoma in September 2014. If you dont know what that is and what effects it has on the body please use the Internet and educate yourself to the devastation it has on the body. I just wanted to post a little of her battle for life she fought so bravely. The operation was very tough on her, but she bounced back. The radiation and chemotherapy made her so weak she couldnt walk or dress herself, but she fought and bounced back. She went to football games, track meets, ,shopping. Hoping no one noticed her wig or limp or that she had very little use of her left hand and arm. As the chemotherapy continued for a year and her hair started to grow back, she worried someone would see her bald spot, even tho her hair was beautiful. She tried not to notice the small childrens stare because the steroids had her swelled twice her size. She was so proud that she made it to 8th grade graduation, although she rested for 5 days afterwards. She regained her strength enough to go to Myrtle Beach for a week, however the last day there she started to decline. By the time we returned home, she was very weak. When she went for her chemotherapy she was sent to get an MRI which revealed cancer on the other side of the brain that was inoperable. That was the middle of June. She had many seizures and each one left her more damaged. She kept her faith and would stand on Gods word She was healed by His stripes she was healed, either here or in Heaven, she was healed and then she would say. ?..a win win. Even when she laid unable to speak, I would say win win and with a weak nod she would try to smile. There lay my wife of 37 years her mind knowing, wanting realizing, unable to move or speak...trapped in her own body, in so much pain, believing in her healing by faith. I just want all who loved her to know that the second she opened her eyes in Heaven she was healed. GOD kept His promise. It isnt easy, but after seeing her suffer and knowing where she is, its almost bearable,. Someday soon I am going where she is. So as Alicia would always say I love you with all my heart, and God Bless You. She never said goodbye. Everyone can come, its easy John 3: 16&17. See you there.
