Mother to this day, is like a breath of fresh air, Wherever she - TopicsExpress

Mother to this day, is like a breath of fresh air, Wherever she leads I want to follow. I always wished I could be like her, even just a little bit, a little bit about the size of my little pinky finger. I could not have had a better example for me to follow in this whole wide world, than her. She was the only child in her whole family to choose to attend a Catholic School. She grew up as a strong self-disciplined self-willed & faithful daughter of God.Her faith in Jesus Christ is still unparalleled to any other..She took very good care of all her children, the best she & dad knew how. Dad would drive mom & all her kids to the nearest Catholic Church, then would pick us up 1hr after it was over. Most of us would attend catechism, a church school to prepare us to take our first communion (the sacrament), the day before we would go to confession, then on Sunday we would be forgiven our sins & prepared to take the sacrament (the body of Christ)...Receiving our first communion is a glorious event! After weeks of preparation, of memorizing certain passages out of the catechism book, I had an awful time memorizing, the sisters would punish me by hitting the top of my hands with a wooden ruler....OUCH! After a time I learned what I needed, in order to be qualified to take the Holy sacrament, my first communion. My eldest sister & I wore a pretty white laced dress, much like a wedding dress... the boys wore a handsome black suit with a bright white shirt, black tie. It was symbolic, like being wedded to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. We were dedicated to The Lord, to live a good & pure life, the best we could possibly live..to live for him. I desired to be the best I could be...to obey my parents..to always try to choose the right... to be more & more like Jesus & my Mother...:) part !.
