Mothers Day always bring me back some poignant memories of a sweet nineteen year old lady who became an instant Mother to a helpless innocent boy in 1981. In time I realized that the essence of motherhood is not only for a woman to push out of her womb a full termed child through her own birth canal call it a son or a daughter. Rather it was the amazing devotion of a young virginal girl to raise a nine day old infant all through her life up to her last living days. It was also this girl immense capacity to love, to take good care of and to protect that nortured this boy into the fine and responsible man that he is today. The girl was Auntie June or Julma my daughter and the boy is now Hernando Plopinio Arenas Jr. My first grandson connected with BOJEX GAME ZONE- San Antonio Calabanga CS and Triangulo St. Naga city. Happy and meaningful Mothers Day to Jex Plopinio and Janice Arenas. Much love from Nanay !!
