The braking points, instead, are impossible to find out with the scooter. Then we will work on the data gathered during the last year tests, they will be useful to find the set the gearbox and to get an idea of the general set-up. The first approach will be important, but above all it twill be crucial to improve constantly over the weekend: the times will drop a lot from Friday to Sunday”. You will have to recover from the Austin’s setback. “Its been a bad weekend because without the problem with the tires I could have get on the podium. It would have been an important result for the championship, and instead I lost a lot of points. The goal here is to make our best since the beginning and to find out if this circuit is good or not for the Yamaha”. Have you thought about the problem you had? “In my opinion, we needed the extra-hard front, we would have gone a bit slower but we wouldn’t have destroyed the tire. Many riders complained about the same problem and that means that Bridgestone brought there the wrong tire. Here, however, well get the hardest option and I think it’s a smart choice. We have to be able to stay with the Hondas and they have no problems with these tires. We have to work on it”. Could this be a favourable track for you? “Last year Bradl and Bautista on Honda have been faster than Crutchlow on Yamaha. But we will see”.
