Motorists are being urged to avoid Central Drive after a collision between a pensioner and a car. A 70-year-old man has been taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital with head and leg injuries after the incident near the town centre at around 5.20pm on Tuesday, which also involved a silver Peugeot. Police have closed Central Drive at its junction with Havelock Street, and are advising motorists to avoid the surround area, including Hornby Road, Reads Avenue and Palatine Road, as there is a build up of traffic.
