Mount Juliet Christmas Parade!!!!! December 6th at 11 am (remember we ride at 1:00pm so you may or may not want to do this parade.) If enough of you do.... I will register this club to ride. You all will split the cost between how many ride. WE WILL CONTINUE WITH SADDLE CLUB AS PLANNED SINCE THIS IS OUR LAST RIDE!!!! From the Mt Juliet website..... The theme for the 2014 Parade is A Frozen Christmas. We hope all the participants are creative and relate the theme to their float or entry. All entries must register prior to Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014. This years parade will begin at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet, head northbound on N. Mt. Juliet Road, and then end when it reaches Charlie Daniels Parkway. Parade Timeline: 8:00 AM - Parade Staging will begin 10:00 AM - Parade Staging will end 10:15 AM - Entry/Float Driver Safety Meeting 10:45 AM - Mt. Juliet Road is Closed for Parade 11:00 AM - Parade Begins HORSE ENTRY GUIDELINES One horse group representative needs to check in at staging area location for proper line up order. All horse riders must ride their horse in a safe manner at all times. Horse riders are encouraged to decorate their horse for the parade. BEFORE PARADE HORSE STAGING All horses will stage in the open field in front of West Wilson Middle School prior to the parade start. No horses should be on First Baptist Church property. Horses should be in location no later than 10:00 AM. Horses will not be permitted to ride along the roadways prior to the parade or at the end of the parade due to the increased traffic and night time. Therefore, it is important that participants drop the horse and riders off at the staging area. Then, drive the horse trailer up to the parade end location for easy departure after the parade. The parade ending location will be behind Mt. Juliet Middle School. PARADE STAGING DROP OFF West Wilson Middle School (935 N. Mt. Juliet Rd, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122) All participants and floats should arrive at the staging area between 7:00AM – 10:00AM. If you arrive past 10:00AM, you will not be allowed to participate in the parade. PARADE END PICK - UP Behind Mt. Juliet Middle School (3565 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122) All participants and floats will end the parade behind Mt. Juliet Middle School. After the parade is over, participants can be picked up behind Mt. Juliet Middle School in the area of Elzie Patton Elementary. This is the info regarding the horses being in the Christmas parade. Just sharing for your info to help you decide if you are interested in this or not. Again, we do ride our last show on this day at 1:00PM so it is up to you what you want to do. If you want to ride as a CLUB, I can submit the form. Each rider will pay the fee between yourselves to do this event. It is NOT covered by the club. You HAVE to sign a waiver for each one of you as well. I can provide these to you. If you ride you are encouraged to participate in the theme for the parade as well as support our club and display something in some fashion with the club name on it. You may choose to have a couple walkers carrying a sign or something to display RBSC. This will be up to those of you who ride. Please let me know who is interested in this for CERTAIN and I will get things set up.
