Mourning yet again. The brutal attacks on poor civilians who are targeted by the State as disposable, both by U.S. drone strikes to Pakistan, and the continuous occupation of federally unregulated zones, are vibrations of a legacy of violence in the Global South. When we talk about Taliban, remember that the U.S. has systemically funded and backed their terrorist regimes, and that the liberation of Pakistan from neoliberal elite forces is inherently connected to the War on Terror and U.S. imperialism in the region. An estimated 10 percent of the Pentagon’s logistics contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars are paid to insurgents as the US government funds Taliban. Devastated, what does a movement against the war at home and abroad look like? Will there be outrage over this too? How do we effectively organize against imperialism? #Pakistan
