Today is a special day for me. My oldest son Trey Smith reports to LU as a student athlete hence a college student. This dude has been with me since he was 7yrs old. We have been through financial struggles,not having food to eat, many arguments, people doubting us to God keeping us faithful to his word and blessing us beyond belief. Our bond will never be broken not by anyone or any situation! Eventhough I am a college administrator, I am always a parent first and today I feel a sense of pride,apprehension, and vigor as Trey starts this new chapter in his life. To the people who have helped him in our lives and I wont name you here because I have now said thank you to each of you personally yesterday, I thank you again now for the support and love provided through the years to Trey and me especially in the tough times. He stands tall today ready to take on new challenges because many cared enough to care for us. Folks it takes a village and today I am thankful for the village that helped us make it this far! Today is his day and I am one proud Dad!
