Movie Review: Son Of God - Went to see Son Of God yesterday. They have added some scenes that were not in the TV Series The Bible. If I had one complaint, it would be the events taken out of chronological order. Even so, I think it added to the overall direction of the movie. Diego Morgado (Jesus) was good but a little over dramatic. Pilate, Barabbas and especially Mary, (played by Roma Downey) were very convincing in their perspective parts. His beatings, carrying the cross down the Via Delorosa and the Crucifixion was well done. I thought the best line of the movie was the very last one after Jesus had ascended (actually just disappeared) when Peter looked at his friends and said, Come on, we have a lot of work to do Kudos to Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Voice, Shark Tank) and his beautiful wife, Roma Downey for daring to bring this to the big screen and thank you 20th Century Fox for its distribution. If you want to watch something even better, rent The Bible on DVD. What happens after Jesus ascends to the very end of Revelation is worth the purchase or rental alone.
