Movie reviews: TMNT - the same old redundant Michael bay film with 4 cgi turtles instead of transformers. Everything about this movie seemed to be recycled from other Michael bay movies, primarily the sound effects, which drove me nuts. On top of that, splinter looked so horrible that I wanted to punch myself in the face. This movie was over produced and ruined the concept of the ninja turtles. Spare yourself from this and just watch the 2 from the 90s. Get on up - the acting and music were fantastic, but this movie jumped around way too much, without purpose, which made it confusing and hard to follow. I enjoyed this movie, but wish it would have followed a consistent timeline. It seemed like it was trying to be the next Walk the Line, but lost itself along the way. Good for a one time watch. Lets Be Cops - I had high expectations for this. A poor imitation of Pineapple Express with a plot that seemed to drag on. I dont like comedies that try to be profound, which this one did. One scene I particular, involving a lollipop, had me laughing hysterically. I was still paging long after everyone else had stopped. You could skip this movie or see it for the 2 hysterical scenes that made it all worth it.
