Movies are NOT the way to read books, and they often fail to - TopicsExpress

Movies are NOT the way to read books, and they often fail to capture the nuance and depth of a book. Ayn Rand wrote an American classic Atlas Shrugged in 1957 that has enchanted millions of readers. Film has tried to capture this book twice before, telling approximately the first two thirds of the story. This film is the final third, and yet is NOT related by writers, actors or director to the prior efforts. It opened on 9/12. I look forward to seeing it. Reportedly it is the closest of the three films to the book and is able to convey the point of Rands story.
