Mpho joins Thorburn Holdings from August 2014 and will be operating as business development manager responsible for building key relationships with targeted clients for all eight of our subsidiary companies. Mpho will report directly to the National Business Development Director, Reggie Griggs. Athletic in mind and body, Mpho’s natural talents were forged at Pretoria Boys High School and on the rugby fields leading to Craven Week having played 1st Team Rugby at PBHS and Blue Bulls Under 19 and Under 21 Craven Week. His strength of character accommodates a competitive spirit with honesty and integrity, reflecting his deep seated and passionate concern for social issues. Extensive public relations and marketing experience was gained in the advertising industry, which evolved into a desire to take on entrepreneurial challenges. These took the form of business ownerships and partnerships operating in a diverse variety of sectors, such as advertising, information and communications technology, water and electricity. This hard won experience in the marketplace underpins his current corporate function of national business development. A firm believer that good intentions must become actions, Mpho has created two social intervention initiatives: one a drug abuse/drug prevention programme and the other a leadership and mentorship programme for young boys.
