Looking at the PTI’s behaviour on social media, sometimes it seems that Naya Pakistan is being built on the debris of social morality, democratic values and human dignity. It is a dangerous trend that should be stopped and Imran Khan should take serious notice of it. Being a leader, he should know that a society without freedom of expression and conscience is destined to fall – and we are heading towards it. If Naya Pakistan is one in which there is no freedom of expression and where human dignity is at stake, then I would prefer the old Pakistan because I think that poverty with decency is far better than prosperity without dignity.
