Mr. Anthony Lynn Ash, age 54, of Summerville, GA died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Ash was born January 21, 1959 in Summerville, GA, the son of Deward Ray Ash, and the late Barbara Bohannon Ash. He was a self-employed carpenter. Mr. Ash proudly served in the United States Marine Corp for 4 years. He was a loving husband, father of three, and grandfather of 7. Other than his mother, he was preceded in death by a step-mother, Linda Ash; and a granddaughter, Haley Shandell Abbott. Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Ash; son and wife, Stephen and Lori Abbott; daughter and husband, Rosanna and Devin Padgett, daughter, Priscilla Ash; father, Deward Ray Ash; brother, Scott Ash; sisters, Rhonda Battle, Sonya Payton, and Belinda Rendon; grandchildren, Aubrey Padgett, Emma Padgett, Trey Abbott, Levi Abbott, J J Abbott, Damion Pinson, and Tyler Pinson. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at North Summerville Baptist Church,Ash obit with Chaplain Pat officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to TC Thompson Children’s Hospital.
