Mr. Gee and the gold exhibit for the Great Jubilee Exhibition Register 18 August 1887 p 5 OUR GOLDFIELDS TEETULPA. OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENTS MESSAGE TEETULPA August 17. Warden Gee left here this morning for Adelaide, carrying with him a parcel of splendid specimens, showing gold freely, for view in the Exhibition. Register 27 August 1887 p 7 ROUNDABOUT NOTES. Warden Gee placed amongst the Government mineral exhibits in the main hall on Friday some valuable and beautiful specimens of spider gold obtained from the Victoria Mine, Strawbridges Gully, Teetulpa. The gold is in fantastic shapes, the prevailing stone being gossany iron. The specimens are arranged on a velvet-lined shelf, upon which they show out with great distinctness. There is an evident richness in this exhibit which irresistibly attracts the visitor towards it.
