Mr Jeff Shipley is running for The Iowa State Legislature to represent Jefferson County for the Republican Party. I therefore posted this question on his Facebook wall: Mr Shipley, I dont know you and Ive never heard of you. I need some help in making my decision for the November 4th poll. There are those who would say that we already have freedom, peace and prosperity and there are those with powerful financial and political clout in this State who hold these ideals with a unique point of view, some of them even believe that the United States Constitution is just a judicial or social metaphor. Usually when someone uses these ideals as a political platform it is because there has been some effort towards progress in these areas in the past and pure frustration along with promptings and support from close friends and political leaders push you into running for the State Legislature. 1) Please explain what youve done as a local citizen/civilian, outside of the Iowa Legislature, within the local community and the State of Iowa to create and/or enhance the creation of freedom, peace and prosperity. 2) Also explain why you believe that change is required and what is driving the current problem... :-)
