Mr. Larry Chester Briggs, 59, of Morganton, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at his residence, following a period of declining health. Larry was born on April 30, 1954 in Schenectady, NY to the late Edford Briggs and Joyce Davenport Briggs. He was employed currently as a truck driver in the shipping industry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Hermance. Survivors include his three children; Jennifer Santabarbara and husband Angelo of Rotterdam, NY, Katherine Maye and husband Eugene of Schenectady, NY and Casey Briggs and fiancé, Keith Marr of Rotterdam, NY, his lifelong partner, Gloria St. Andrews, of the home, and her children; Christina St. Andrews and husband, Bhisham Nandalall of Schenectady, NY, Jennifer St. Andrews and partner, Jerry Gates of Syracuse, NY and Joseph St. Andrews of Grifton, NC. Also surviving are two brothers, Daniel and Harold Briggs, his grandchildren; Michael and Marianna Santabarbara, Eugene, Alexis and Ashante Maye, Zachery and Cameron Marr, Shiloh and Christian St. Andrews, Diego and Emilio Cruz and Michael and Savannah St. Andrews.
