Mr Moogaloo, has blown a couple of cobwebs out of my memory banks today. During the period 1987-1989, Maidstone had quite a large scene, not forgetting Canterbury & the Medway towns. A little function room, in a pub that eludes me at the moment, on a Thursday used to be packed out with sussed, cool Mods. Not only local, but sometimes from London, Berkshire and Swindon... From the latter there was a guy by the name of Danny Huff. now Danny was feeding our vinyl habits of delights. The indemand Latin sounds were a plenty, those lovely Gold Fania labels. Then came these two awesome 45s - two deals were done that night. a pair to myself and the other to Rob Bailey....what a deal - £60.00 the pair !!
