Mr, Pere Noels sleigh was unhindered by the new traffic layout in Cuille, on Friday night. His reindeers, magically, worked out who goes first and maneuvered themselves perfectly around the central island crossroads, arriving safely and on time, although, due to numerous fidgety animals in the ranks, managed to block the entire road, for the duration! However, the entire Joan dArc School of 37 pupils, were on stage, chanting for Pere Noel to appear, having finished their curtain call on the little play they produced for all the Mums and Dads and visitors from the Maison de Retrait! Once a crescendo had been reached and the Nissen-hut of a hall shook to its very foundations, Pere Noel lumbered on stage with his sack over his back, to a big cheer from the children ..and us at the back ! The little elf was on naughty behaviour and kept running to hide behind Pere Noels back, as he turned trying to find him. The children kept calling out ..look behind you! and There! There!, but, Pere Noel was too slow and the naughty little elf couldnt be seen at all, until the last time, when Pere Noel said that he must behave and help him give out the presents, to all the boys and girls, which, ofcourse, he did. All of a sudden, Pere Noel was swamped with eager, happy little faces as the gifts were handed out and for all those brothers and sisters who had come and who were not at the school, Pere Noel had remembered to bring lots of sweets to share with each and every one! So Pere Noels visit, ended happily for all the children. One little lad whom we know, came up to John once de-robed and re-dressed and said Youre Papa Noel, arent you? Ho, Ho, Ho! said John as he bent down to the lad and gave a big smile, gently knocking the side of his nose with his right forefinger and giving him a wink!........anyone up for some fresh fertiliser? Theres currantly plenty on the Cuille to Gennes road!
