You also might remember that you started off our conversation by screaming at me and threatening me. You got in my face and called me a faggot. You told me I was worthless, stupid, and an idiot. You then proceeded to berate me for only making $5,000 per year. You called my manhood into question and threatened to sue me for parking on your lawn. You then proceeded to call the police. You stand about a foot taller than me and outweigh me by around 50 lbs. Most other men would have been intimidated by your bullying, but I took it in stride. More about that later. While waiting for the police to show up, I noticed that you were only wearing socks and a light shirt. It was getting toward sundown and was cold outside, so I offered you my spare coat while we were waiting. You refused, telling me that you were enough of a man not to need it. I calmly went about my work and, even though I didnt have to (a map of the right-of-way is attached for your future reference - I was working in the red area), I moved my truck a couple feet to accommodate you. When the police showed up, they indicated that I hadnt done anything wrong and left the scene. Please remember that everywhere you go you represent your brand. People know that you work for Crown Toyota/Scion/Volkswagen. Your behavior reflects on the business you work for and the products that you sell. By way of actually introducing myself. I am a commissioned officer (a captain) in the United States Air Force where I serve with the 177TH IAS at McConnell Air Force Base. Generally I serve around 45 days in uniform each year, sometimes more. Far from being stupid, I hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas and was the top aircraft designer nation wide the year I graduated college (2000). In my civilian life I own and operate Wicked Broadband here in Lawrence. We are the primary Internet service provider for around 5% of our community and are rapidly expanding into Gigabit fiber-to-the-premises. Just this week we turned on Gigabit service at Midwest Property Management, BA Green construction and the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. My wife is a member of the USD497 school board and we have two beautiful little girls that are attending pre-school at Raintree Montessori. The reason I was running a truck this weekend is that one of my employees (Lionell Brown) is deployed with the Army and the other (Dan Ouellett) recently had twins. Even though it was Dans on-call weekend, I took over for him because he needs some time to de-compress. Having twin newborns in the house is very stressful and I want to make sure he gets enough time off. So after putting in 60 hours during the week, I decided to take Dans on-call weekend and spent 22 hours Saturday and Sunday doing network maintenance. I wasnt intimidated by your size because, you see, Ive had trouble with aggressive wild dogs while working in the truck alone in the past. Im a concealed and carry license holder and, while you were calling me a wimp and a pussy I had a .40 Glock 23 semi-automatic in my conceal and carry holster. Had I really felt threatened by you, Id be writing this to your widow. At 36 years old, Ive recently discovered Eminem (much to my wifes amusement). I like the raw emotion of his lyrics and enjoy the beat and the complex word play. I was more into Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Tool and Green Day as a kid. Everyone has a bad day from time to time and I am glad that you took your frustration out on me rather than someone in your family or someone who works for you.
