Mrk 15.16-32 The soldiers took Christ and mocked Him,putting a purple rob and a crown of thorns as they spat and knocked His head and latter led Him to be crucified as they forced Simon to carry His cross upto Golgotha where He was crucified between 2 thieves even as they gambled for His clothes. While on the cross, they put a sign indicating He was the king of the Jews as priests and passer- bys mocked Him. APP 1)Every affliction that Christ endured had a redemptive purpose-he wore a mock purple robe that i may walk in royalty,a crown of thorns that i may walk in the blessing of God having taken away the curse on the ground,being spat on to wipe away my shame,being hit on the head that i may have the mind of Christ. 2) carrying the cross changed the destiny of Simon and his family who became believers(Rom 16.13) and you too if the cross touches your life 3)though Christ had the power to get off the cross,He choose to go all way through for you and me
