***Mrs #CCC posted a question a while ago about what gets your blood boiling about crafty things. One of the things that came up ALOT was the issue of people COPYING. Now, I know everyone has their own perceptions but this is Mrs ~CCC~s opinion (for what it is worth). Crafting and beautiful ideas are something that have been around since humans wanted to make practical and elegant things to surround themselves with. If you have ever see Time Team a gorgeous silver broach caked in mud or the clever tool that made it are a sight to behold when it is found hundreds of years later, under rubble and earth. A leather shoe which was made using traditional methods always has me thinking about the person who made it. They must have been going to a tanner to get the leather. Much like many people on here who are after bits to make their special things. Being creative and hands on is a special gift. Dont spend your time being cross if you spy someone making something you can also make and perhaps do. Unless they have used a photo of yours just move on to YOUR next project. (There are definite exceptions and one would be of art work that is ORIGINAL and a trained eye can spot someone copying style etc.) People buy from people they like. Have confidence in what you are making. If someone ever gets in touch to say you have stolen their idea. I would perhaps send them to Clearly Crafty Community and Mrs ~CCC~ can copy this message to them. ♥ ♥ ♥ Mrs ~CCC~ x ♥ ♥ ♥
