Msg from John Robinson with the National Weather Svc.: On Sunday, thunderstorms will probably enter the northwest corner of Arkansas toward dawn. If these storms offer any chance of severe weather, damaging winds would be the main threat. Later in the day, as a front makes its way across the state, most sections of the state will have at least a small chance of seeing a severe thunderstorm from early afternoon through mid evening. Best chances, however, will be in north central and northeast Arkansas. Large hail and damaging winds will be the severe weather threats. Storms should exit the southeast corner of Arkansas around mid evening. Most rainfall amounts should average 1/4 to 3/4 inch, but there will probably be some totals exceeding an inch with the strongest storms.
