Mt. Cumberland Sr. Missionary Society along with the Jr. Missionaries have been working diligently this week purchasing and donating items to fill Christmas boxes for the Operation Christmas Child - Samaritans Purse. It was so exciting for me to just to ride in the van with the Jr. Missionaries as they went to purchase items. Then to see them put the boxes together and write letters to the children that would be receiving the gifts was priceless. Our Jr. Missionaries sacrificed their time in front of the TV and video games to come to the church and work for such a good cause. We all gathered around the boxes once completed and each of us put our hand on a box and we prayed that each box would get to the child that was in need of those particular items, that alone was a beautiful experience. We are blessed to be able to take care of our children here in the states as well as those that are in foreign countries. We pray that something written or some item in the box will lead a child to Christ!! This is my 3rd year participating in this amazing outreach and God has been faithful to His Word and provided my every need, through my sacrifice to Him!! You just cant beat Gods giving!! Blessings to all that sacrificed time and finances to make this endeavor happen! Glory to God!
