Much as I love the whole selfie for cancer thing; I cant help but think of the time when i signed up to pay just £3 per month to cancer research. It was only at the end of a fairly involved phone call that I was made aware that the first £100,000 of any monies raised would be swallowed up by the advertising budget. Again, I was only made aware of this after I had given my bank details. I am aware that advertising is important but I cant avoid the fact that I felt slightly duped in some vague way. I post this as someone who has had personal experience of the devastating effect that cancer can have on families, and am not trying to be cynical in any way. I just hope that the donations that we all make do go straight to where they need to, thats all. Bless all of you who donate, and especially those who have been (or are being) affected by this stupid disease.x
