Much is becoming known about autistic people and how they think in pictures...and to many that is a foreign concept...or so we think. How many of you run films in your mind? Wow! Look at all those raised hands! Everyone does it whether you are aware of it or not. You imagine scenarios complete with outcomes...and each frame in the film is a thinking in pictures moment. Animals think in pictures. They watch our films and feel our feelings during the film...and either act/react accordingly or leave the scene of the accident about to happen if they have a choice to do so. What films/feelings are you putting out in the world and especially to your children, the autistics... research on face recognition is the buzz today. What if I told you that your faces change from moment to moment according to your feelings. You even change color! From red to blue to purple to yellow to nothing....sometimes we know you, sometimes you are a stranger....sometimes you have no face. I never knew which father would come home every day at 5 pm.....sometimes he was red....sometimes clear...sometimes a nice green color...depending on his mood. Love is a good color. Wear it. Yeah. Welcome to my world.
