Mud slinging continues. Many assume that Curacaos elite is deeply involved in illegal activities and Wiels was going to reveal the culprits as well as their activities. But in a full year, nobody has come forward with a thread of evidence to support those scenarios. 1. What illegal activity is Curacaos elite involved in? 2. Which elite, there are so many? 3. What was Wiels going to make public?4. How would anyone loose his position, and over what? None of these questions were ever answered and it remains a full year of wild speculations, mud slinging and political dirt. What stands and is proven is that a local narco-related gang killed the politician, who had debts everywhere and never paid his bills. Also in the press we read, hear and see statements that Wiels received large pay-offs in the USA ( US $ 900,000) together with his minister of Justice, but nobody knows if these allegations are true. The simple fact that Wiels lived a life style far beyond his means and had debts everywhere, is ignored by most. It is interesting to see how many eagerly translate their deep seated frustration, envy and hate against one elite, or another, in wild conspiracies and accusation.
