Mudgee LAC Media Release - Monday 18 August 2013 27 year old Wollar man arrested A male patron was asked to leave the Woolpack Hotel due to the level of his intoxication. Upon leaving the male person has attacked a security guard at the hotel. The man was restrained by security staff and unknown members of the public until police arrival. He was conveyed to Mudgee Police Station where he was charged with the offences of common assault and destroy or damage property. The man has been given conditional bail and is to appear at Mudgee Local Court in September. Tools stolen A Hitachi rattle gun, ‘TNE’ Tap & Dye set, Blue Point ‘Snap on Torch’ and a grey tool box containing numerous tools was stolen from a Volkswagon Amarok single cab utility parked in the driveway of a residence in Moggs Lane Bombira. The tools were secured in galvanised tool boxes in the rear of the utility. The theft occurred between 6.30pm Friday 9 August and 8.50am Saturday 10 August. 23 year old Coonabarabran man refused bail Responding to a ‘000’ call that a male person had knives and an axe and threatened to kill himself police attended White Street Coonabarabran around 9.00pm on Saturday 11 August. At the location police were confronted with a verbally abusive male. The male then took hold of a ‘block splitter’ and threatened police. Before police could restrain the man he ran off into bushland. The area was extensively searched but the man had managed to elude police. The man later presented himself at the Coonabarabran Police Station with family and friends. He was taken into custody where he was charged with the offences of intimidate police officer in execution of duty, use offensive language in/near public place. The man has been refused bail. Stealing On Friday 9 August between 1.00am and 1.25am unknown persons have forcibly entered the grounds of Roads and Maritime Services in Gardener St Coonabarabran. At that location the thieves have gone to a white dual cab Toyota Hilux and have removed a tow bar from the utility.
