Mugs for Mutts was a gigantic success! We are still waiting for a final dollar amount, but its a lot! I got a lot of praise for yesterday, but in no way was this done alone. Im going to apologize ahead of time for leaving people out, but there are so many more to thank: - Shaumi Wilson Todd worked her butt off with organizing and working this event. Even injured, this is one hell of a woman and I am forever grateful for all she does for our community. - All of the members of Laurel Craft Beer Club that share my vision of making Laurel a great place to live. - Heather Jones Shows for being my right hand in this. This girl is a beast at beer events! Also, Carrie Mann, Kyla Mann, & Jessica Sumrall Long for working the LCBC tent and helping us raise loads of money! - The entire Jitters Coffeehouse & Bookstore staff was on point yesterday. Everyone did their job to make this a safe and enjoyable event! Security did a fantastic job. I spoke with the Laurel Police department this morning. There were no incidents and no complaints! - Heather Chandler Williams doesnt like to take credit, but she worked harder than any of us to make this event so great. - All Southern Cross Animal Rescue volunteers who worked so hard for this event, including but not limited to Kristin Viscione, Shannon Stewart Bates, Savannah Pipkins, Traci Baker. - Derek Trahan & Brian Williams for making some of the best BBQ chicken Ive ever had! - Shane Kelley was an amazing help yesterday to me with sound equipment, announcements, and rocking out! - Chad Edwards of MCE Photography and Jennifer Patrick of Downtown Music Media for taking and sharing some amazing photography. - My brew buddies Sean Murphy & Josh Ishee for doing such a great job at making announcements! - Timbeaux Benoit of Hub City Music for being my shoulder to cry on and all of his help organizing and promoting the music side of this. - All of our awesome musicians who donated time. The sound was phenomenal and everyone did an amazing job. I couldnt be more proud! Thomas Jackson, Raven Jackson Music, Allen Mann, Shelby Kemp, Ryan Hughes Music, Down&Good, Adam Bloodbird Harrington, Spider Lily - Kelly Atwood for her wonderful work with the press and all of the press outlets that covered the event, Including but not limited to Laurel Leader-Call - All of our event sponsors.
