Mukul Roy, General Secretary, TMC further informed work on several projects announced earlier has started and the TMC-led state government aims to implement more projects such as establishing medical and engineering colleges, ITI hub and solving the water problem in the Darjeeling hills. Mukul Roy also said to solve the problems of casual workers in the GTA, we had already decided on making more than 3,000 of them permanent, and we are investigating the reasons why this has not been done so. We will soon meet the CM on this matter as also on the stalled salaries of other government employees here
