Mum-of-one aid worker Julia Albert-Recht devotes her life to delivering aid to those displaced by conflict and disaster. Julia, 53, who was born in Edinburgh and brought up in Aberdeen, has travelled all over the globe co-ordinating humanitarian efforts. On Boxing Day, she was called to return to war-torn South Sudan, where she is leading the International Medical Corps’ project to get emergency aid to some of the most vulnerable people in a country split by civil war.
