Fit TIP: Be your own advocate for your health. Along the journey, whether you are trying to lose weight, eat healthier, add exercise or boost your brain power, you will always have the nay sayers and sabotagers. They could be lurking as close as one of your own family members or even your spouse. That doesnt mean to exclude them from your journey but it does mean painting your own picture of what your ideal healthy body and mind is. Doing your own research, if need be and whatever resources you need. Lets face it, things are constantly changing around us. One day eggs are good the next week theyre bad, the next week its the yolk, the next week its all good again. Then there are those who will purposely put out sugary treats or offer them to you when they know youre trying to cut down or stop sugar. Those who will try to talk you out of going to the gym and doing something else instead. Stand strong and on your own two feet! Its a tough one but remember its your body, its your health, its your life! Do your homework and find information from a reputable source. Grow a backbone if you must. Be honest with yourself and others and never let anyone put down your efforts.
