Mum says this has been one heck of a day. Calico Kitty is doing ok. Her fever is gone and now shes a bit on the low side temping in at 99.8. Norm is 102. Her congestion is busting up. The xrays show no pneumonia, no mass tumors or anything of that nature, no broken bones. Her fecal was tricky cuz they could not get enough, but we are treating her with fenbendazol anyways because its just pure liquid that comes out. They could not run the blood work and have to send it out because their machine broke. But based off todays exam we added metronidazole along with her other antibiotics and dewormer. They will call me Monday with the blood work. The vet was glad to see kitty showed a wee bit of improvement since Wednesday and says the antibiotics and sub Q fluids are defiantly doing their job. She is at 5.2 pounds and needs to start eating. They were also able to clean all that bloody crud off around her nose. It was rock hard and a bit difficult to clean but it opened up that part of her nose as well.....she has very sharp claws and those got trimmed today as well.
