Mummy Talkback: Joint Status…going out without baby on a night out for the first time! I had to laugh as on Saturday night 2 exact status came though on Facebook from friends at almost the same time! I thought I was seeing things. Both were couples going out for the first time and leaving baby. And both are second time mums! I found it very hard getting back into social outings especially after baby #1 and #3…. the challenging ones. Not only do we have to deal with the guilt of actually going out and having a night off but its often typical that they (newborns or older children) will be up just a little bit more through the night for you and get up extra early! How do they know to do that…….? ;-) You may also have to pump to leave a feed or then express later on, not much fun for a night out but for New Mums a night out could be beneficial regardless of the above. A date with your husband and friends is a chance to dress up and socialise! Anyone here manage to get out more than once a month?! ;-)
