Municipal Elections for Alberta’s Villages, Towns, Cities and Municipal takes place on October 21, 2013. Voting of Electors will take place on that date from 10:00 am – 8:00 pm at the Edgerton Agricultural Hall. For those not able to be present to vote on that date, an Advance Poll will take place on October 8, 2013 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Edgerton Village Office. Eligible Voters must resident in the province for a period of six months and must present identification in the form of: one piece of photo identification (Driver’s license, Government photo I.D. Card) as well as identification showing the name and address of the elector (Bank/Credit Card Statement or personal cheque; Correspondence issued by a school, college or university; Government cheque or statement; income/property tax assessment notice; insurance policy, home or vehicle; letter from a public curator, guardian or trustee; Pension Plan Statement; Residential lease or mortgage statement; utility bill). We are fortunate to have six candidates put their names forward for election for the Village of Edgerton in the Municipal Election on October 21, 2013. There are five Councillor positions available. At the Organizational Meeting of Council those five elected councillors will select the Mayor. The following people have put their names forward: Wendy Belik; Dallas Degenhardt; Wanda Herbert; Lot Krawchuk; Barbara Sjoquist; Richard Tipler.
